Amsterdam, Berlin, and a house on Lake Lugano
Metik is the Amsterdam–Berlin based duo of guitarist Bram Stadhouders and drummer Luca Marini. Long-time friends and seasoned performers, they bring over two decades of international touring experience into a refined blend of ambient electronica and melodic IDM.
Educated in jazz and contemporary classical composition, they approach electronic music from a deeply instrumental perspective. Acoustic drums, percussion, expressive guitars and string instruments from around the globe intertwine with synthesis in spacious, evolving compositions.
Metik treats electronic music as a live, breathing form — immersive and cinematic, balancing club-oriented pulse with concert-hall detail. Their debut album was recorded in a home overlooking Lake Lugano; the stillness, depth and shifting light of the surrounding landscape became an integral part of its sonic identity.
